The definition from Dictionary.com. Telepathy is the term given to communication between two minds. Yeah, so what? That doesn't sound special, I always communicate with my friends! That's probably what you're saying, but telepathy is the communication using solely the mind, and the mind alone. I'm sure you've all seen a magic trick where a magician's assistant reveals a card, to the magician, face down. The magician then follows up by guessing correctly the face of the card without ever taking a glance at the face side. Before you begin to "ahhh" and "oooh" and make bets with your friends for their lunch you can guess the face card, there's actually really no recorded instance of a successful telepathic action.
